Theme Name: Reflection
Theme Description
This photography competition theme invites participants to capture the interplay of light and reflection in creative ways, whether through shimmering water, polished glass, or other reflective surfaces. There are no strict guidelines on subject matter; instead, embrace the challenge of transforming everyday scenes into extraordinary works of art that invite viewers to see the world in a new light.
Main Requirement
The submitted photo(s) must showcase reflections, which can be found in different places like calm water bodies, cityscapes, nature scenes, or even in self-portraits. Try to capture interesting compositions where reflections add beauty to the scene. You can experiment with long exposures for smooth reflections, or play with angles to create dynamic effects. Be creative and explore how reflections can convey emotions, tell stories, or symbolize ideas.
What do winners receive?
20 winning photos will be exhibited at the hotel WunderLocke (Gmunder Straße 27, 81379 Munich). Additionally, three participants will have the opportunity to win extra prizes (vouchers for content-filled workshop by renowned photographer and educator – Anita Nagypal). See Entry Guidelines below for further details on participation in the exhibition (printing, fees, etc.).
