“Ordinary Magic” Competition 2026

Theme title: Ordinary Magic

This year we invite you to use your creativity and artistic lens to transform everyday scenes or subjects into something more magical.

The challenge is to find extraordinary within the ordinary things and to notice the wonder, humour, and beauty in moments we often overlook.

What we are looking for / require:

– Images of everyday life that make you / the viewer pause, smile, reflect or appreciate the ordinary around them.

– A short description (50-100 words) about the story behind the picture.

What do winners receive?

⚪ The Main Stage: Real-World Exhibition

20 winning entries will be selected for a physical exhibition at hotel WunderLocke in Munich (Gmunder Straße 27, 81379 Munich). This is an exciting opportunity for emerging photographers to bring their art off the screen and celebrate a major career milestone in photography.

⚪ Masterclass Opportunity

Out of the 20 exhibiting winners, three will be selected to win an in-depth photography masterclass voucher led by a professional photographer and educator, Anita Nagypal.

⚪ Connect with Buyers & Sell Your Work

Take your passion to the next step! Exhibiting participants can sell their printed photos directly to event attendees, a fantastic way to build a collector base, gain real industry experience, and earn from your craft.
